Transport Allowance

Students/parents can apply to provide school transport themselves. The application must be processed by Brakar before the transportation is carried out.

If a student chooses to drive to school without an agreement with Brakar, they will not receive reimbursement for travel expenses.

An agreement for private transportation will not be made if the student can use public transportation.

How to Apply for Transport Allowance?

The “Application for Transport Allowance” form should be filled out and submitted at the student’s school. The school will stamp and sign the application and submit the electronic application to Brakar, along with the completed application form.

When transport allowance is approved, a contract is entered into between the student/parent and Brakar. The application is valid for one school year.

Payment of Travel Expenses

Private transportation costs are covered according to the agreement (e.g., mileage allowance). Costs for ferry tickets or toll fees need to be documented.

Reimbursement of travel expenses is paid retrospectively twice a year. A list of absences for the entire school year must be sent to us by the school no later than June 20. It is the responsibility of the student/parent to ensure that the absence list is sent to Brakar.
